Internet is a medium where many computers are able to communicate with each other. The devices that includes in the internet performance include servers, routers, antennas and the cables. The internet has been in use for a long period, but there has been gradual improvement and has turned out to be so useful in the community. The internet has solved quite a number of issue. The first prototype of internet was developed in the 1960s with the creation of ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network) (Science Node, 2018). This allowed more computers to communicate over a single network. The technology has grown over time. 
Later Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol was developed in the 1970s by Robert and Vinton (Computerhistory.org, 2018). This enables data transmission between many networks. In the 1990 World wide Web was invented where by data would be accessed online in form of websites. IPV4 was used until many devices were connected to the internet and there was need for another Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol method to be invented. Hence IPV6 was invented to enable more devices to be connected to the internet. With the IPV6 technology many devices can now be connected to the internet today. Today there is much data transmitted through the network. The data is confidential are is prone to access by unauthorized personnel. Security measures have been developed by different people with time to ensure data security.
